St David's Day

The whole Nursery is celebrating St. David's Day this week.  In the Elm room, the babies have been painting 'dancing daffodils' and using chunky red crayons to colour fierce dragons.
The oak room children have been on a daffodil walk down on the River Bollin where they met numerous friendly dogs and saw lots of beautiful daffodils.  They have been making friends with the chickens this week and have taken them lots of tasty treats which have been much appreciated.
All of the Yew room children have been enjoying a spring theme painting rabbits, sheep, tulips and of course daffodils.  they have also been exploring the school grounds looking for spring flowers which seem to be blooming quickly in the sunshine.
The Ash room children have been learning about St. David's Day and have done some observational daffodil paintings which are fantastic!  They made and tasted some Welsh cakes which were delicious and painted our outdoor area with leeks and a bucket of water making all sorts of interesting patterns on the nursery path.
We have all enjoyed the sunshine and made the most of our outdoor area this week, we even left our coats inside!
