All of the nursery children are beginning to understand about the changes around them. They have been watching the leaves blowing around and the changes in the weather.
The Elm room children have been learning about rainy days and have been splashing in water, making umbrellas and soft cotton wool clouds.
All of the Oak room children have been practising their listening skills with a week full of stories. They have brought in their favourite books from home to share with their friends, enjoyed cosy one to one stories with their key person and group stories throughout the day.
The Yew room children have been exploring Autumn animals making delicious hedgehog bread and looking for squirrels in the nursery garden. They are looking forward to a nature walk at the end of the week and a visit to the library to choose some more books.
The Ash room children have been learning all about harvest time and how hard our farmers are working in the fields at the moment. They have been cooking and baking this week making vegetable soup, muffins, bread and wraps. We must say a big 'thank you ' to Robert who brought in some apples from his garden and the children made apple crumble to take home for their tea!
Finally, we would like to welcome Harry and Sophia to the nursery this week.
