Autumn has definitely arrived in the nursery!
The Elm room children have been exploring colours, especially Autumn colours such as red, brown, yellow and orange which they can see as they collect conkers and leaves.
The Oak room children have been having a 'Beech Hall bake off' making pizzas, choosing their favourite toppings and sprinkling cheese. They thought that the Autumn fruits tasted delicious as they nibbled pomegranate seeds, blueberries and blackberries too.
In the Yew room, the rumbling of transport can still be heard as the children push trucks through shaving foam, shovel rice with tractors and paint buses. They have learnt about different vehicles by looking at flash cards, listening to transport stories and singing songs about cars, buses and diggers.
The Ash room children have welcomed Autumn making funny leaf men, glittery leaves and creating a seasonal nature table by collecting conkers, sweet chestnuts, twigs, pine cones and leaves.
